Ythanwells is a small Aberdeenshire farming community about 45km northwest of Aberdeen. Take the A96 to the A920 through Oldmeldrum, then follow local roads. The village sits in the Ythan Valley's gentle farmland, with single-track lanes typical of rural Aberdeenshire. Natural springs called the Wells of Ythan still provide fresh water to locals, as they have for centuries.
