Yarm
England
Yarm occupies a loop in the River Tees, straddling the Yorkshire-Durham border about 15 miles from both Darlington and Middlesbrough. The A67 runs straight through town, whilst the A19 provides the main north-south link just to the east. Most visitors arrive via the A1(M) to A66 route from the south or directly up the A19 from Newcastle. The town's medieval bridge, dating from the 13th century, remains one of England's longest stone bridges with 40 distinctive arches still carrying modern traffic.
