Yarcombe lies in East Devon's gentle hills near the Somerset border, reached via the A30 from Exeter or local roads from the M5 at Cullompton. The village sits in the sheltered Yarty Valley with good connections to Stockland and nearby Somerset villages, plus longer routes to Honiton and Exeter. The 15th-century church screen features exceptional carved figures that somehow escaped Reformation destruction.
