Yarbridge forms part of Brading on the Isle of Wight's eastern coast, reached by ferry from Portsmouth or Lymington then the A3054 and coastal roads. Day-trippers typically arrive from the south coast, whilst local traffic moves between Sandown, Ryde and Bembridge. The mild maritime climate means gentle winters and pleasant summers. The village sits where the Eastern Yar once flowed into Brading Haven before Victorian reclamation.
