Woolpit

Woolpit sits just off the A14 between Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket, making it easily accessible for both local Suffolk journeys and longer cross-country routes. The village is famous for St Mary's Church, which features an extraordinary medieval rood screen depicting the legend of the Green Children of Woolpit - two mysterious green-skinned children who allegedly appeared here in the 12th century.
