Woodale occupies a prime spot in the Yorkshire Dales, just off the B6160 near Bradley. The A684 provides the main link to the A1, whilst local roads wind through classic Dales scenery toward Kettlewell and the National Park proper. About 8 EV charging points serve the area. The village retains its working blacksmith's shop, still shoeing horses alongside modern farm equipment repairs.
