Winter Well is a small Somerset settlement about 3km southeast of Taunton, reached via the A358 and local roads through Thurlbear. The area sits in typical Somerset farmland with a temperate climate supporting dairy farming and agriculture. Most visitors arrive from the M5 Junction 25, following the A358 toward Ilminster before branching onto connecting roads. There are roughly 50 EV charging points in the Taunton area for electric vehicle users. The village is named after a natural spring that flows continuously throughout the year.
