Winless occupies a windswept stretch of Caithness coastline in Scotland's far north, where the North Sea crashes against ancient cliffs. Reach it via the A99 from Wick or the A882 from Thurso, with the A9 providing the main Highland connection for visitors from the south. The old fishing harbour retains its original stone piers from the herring boom days.
