Windlestone is a former County Durham mining village on the A688, easily reached from Junction 60 of the A1(M) via the A689. The A688 connects Bishop Auckland westward with Sedgefield and motorway access eastward, whilst local roads serve nearby Rushyford and Coundon within 3km. Teesside International Airport is 45km northeast, and over 100 EV charging points are available locally. The old Pithead Baths building still stands with its original Victorian railings intact.
