Windlesham sits in Surrey's heathland between the M25 and M3, about 30 miles southwest of London. The A322 provides the main access route, connecting to M3 Junction 3 via Lightwater or approaching from the A30 and M25. Long-distance visitors typically use the M25 to Junction 11 then A320/A322, whilst locals favour the B311 from Bagshot or minor roads from neighbouring villages. The parish church houses a rare 13th-century wooden knight effigy.
