Wimbish is a rural Essex village about 15km south of Saffron Walden, reached via the B1053 from Junction 8 of the M11. The settlement sits amid rolling farmland typical of northwest Essex, with medieval field patterns still evident today. London Stansted Airport lies 12km southwest, and the area has over 40 EV charging points. The parish church houses a rare 14th-century wooden effigy of a knight, considered one of Essex's finest medieval carvings.
