Willows Green occupies a quiet corner of central Essex, reached via the A131 which runs between Braintree and Chelmsford. The village sits amongst a cluster of historic settlements, each just a few kilometres apart along winding country lanes. Most arrive from the A12 corridor, turning off at local junctions to navigate between Great Leighs and the various "Greens" that pepper this landscape. The traditional village green still hosts an annual summer fete that brings together residents from across the surrounding parishes.
