Widley perches on Portsdown Hill's slopes north of Portsmouth, offering elevated views over the Solent. Most visitors arrive via the A3(M) to Junction 2, then the B2177 Portsdown Hill Road. Local traffic uses the A27 through Cosham or the B2150 from Waterlooville. The area has good EV charging coverage with over 200 fast chargers nearby. Victorian fort earthworks from Portsmouth's naval defence system still dot the surrounding hilltops.
