Wickmere is a small Norfolk village about 20km north of Norwich, reached via the A140 and local roads through Aylsham. Most traffic is local between surrounding villages like Erpingham and Aldborough, with longer trips heading to Norwich or the coast. The 14th-century St Nicholas Church contains a remarkable medieval rood screen with painted saints.
