Whitesmith is a small East Sussex village just off the A22 between London and Eastbourne. Most visitors arrive via the A22 junction, either from the M25 (about an hour from London) or from Brighton via the A23 connection. The village sits on an ancient ridgeway route, with medieval track sections still visible as local footpaths.
