Whitechapel in East London connects easily via the A11 Whitechapel Road and A1210 Commercial Street from central London, or the A406 North Circular for longer journeys. This multicultural district, famous for its Bangladeshi community around Brick Lane, has evolved far beyond its Victorian notoriety. The original Whitechapel Bell Foundry cast both Big Ben and America's Liberty Bell before closing in 2017.
