White Ness

White Ness is a small settlement on Shetland's Mainland island, reached via the A970 from Lerwick or Tingwall Airport. The area connects several nearby communities including South Stromness and Stebbligrind through local roads typical of Shetland's scattered settlement pattern. Over 20 EV charging points serve the central island area. During summer's "simmer dim," the area experiences near-continuous daylight that never fully darkens.
