Weisdale lies in central Shetland Mainland, reached via the A970 from Lerwick (15km) or A971 from Scalloway. Most visitors use it as a base for exploring western Shetland's coastlines and archaeological sites. The village sits at the head of Weisdale Voe, where the Weisdale Burn flows into a sheltered sea inlet that's been used by boats for over a thousand years.
