Warsop lies on the A60 between Mansfield and Worksop in former Nottinghamshire coalfield country. Reach it via Junction 30 off the M1, then A616 west to the A60, or take the A60 directly north from Nottingham through Mansfield. The town's Victorian model village, built by the colliery company in the 1890s, remains one of England's finest examples of planned industrial housing with its distinctive red-brick terraces and wide tree-lined streets.
