Warrenpoint is County Down's main ferry port to France, sitting where the Irish Sea meets the Mourne Mountains. The A2 coastal road connects you to Belfast (71 km) and Dublin (116 km), while the A25 heads inland toward Portadown. With no rail service, you'll need the car, though there are 25 fast EV chargers about. The harbor dominates the town center, where massive ferries tower over Victorian terraces, and on a clear day you can see straight across Carlingford Lough to Slieve Foy mountain rising from the Cooley Peninsula.
