Walston is a small South Lanarkshire village nestled in the Southern Uplands between the Pentland and Lowther Hills. Reach it via the A702 from Edinburgh (35km) or connect through the A72 east-west route. Popular drives include the scenic A702 north through hill country to the capital, whilst shorter local routes serve Biggar, Dunsyre and neighbouring farming communities. The 12th-century parish church houses one of Scotland's oldest stone fonts with original Celtic carvings.
