Walsden

England

England

Walsden straddles the Lancashire-Yorkshire border in the upper Calder Valley, where Pennine moorland meets former mill country. The A646 runs straight through, linking Todmorden eastward and Bacup westward, whilst the A6033 heads north through Littleborough. Most arrive via M62 junctions 20 or 21. The 1840s railway viaduct still dominates the village centre with its stone arches carrying the Manchester-Leeds line overhead.
