Wallbottle is a residential area on Newcastle's western edge, connected to the city centre via the A695 through the Tyne Valley. The A1 lies to the north for longer journeys, whilst Newcastle Airport is 15km northeast. The community sits near Hadrian's Wall Path, with the Roman fort at Segedunum a short drive away in Wallsend.
