Wainstalls

England

England

Wainstalls perches on the hillsides above Halifax, a former mill village with commanding views across the Calder Valley. Reach it via the A629 from Halifax, turning onto moorland roads that climb to around 300 metres elevation. The M62 at Junction 24 provides motorway access for longer journeys, whilst local routes connect to Ovenden, Luddenden and the Pennine villages. The cricket ground sits spectacularly on the moor's edge, its pavilion offering sweeping valley views.
