Waddicombe lies deep in Exmoor National Park, reached via the B3222 from Dulverton or minor roads from the A396. Most visitors arrive exploring the moor's walking routes, whilst locals use it for short hops between villages like East and West Anstey. The settlement sits at one of Exmoor's highest inhabited points, where old drove roads once carried livestock across the moor.
