Villierstown is a small riverside village on the River Blackwater in County Waterford, built around the historic Dromana Estate. From Cork, take the N25 east for 40km, then the R671 north through Cappoquin. From Waterford city, it's 35km west on the N72, making it grand for a day trip. Dublin drivers follow the M9 south to Waterford, then the N72 for about 200km total. The village is home to Blackwater Distillery, which operates from a converted 18th-century mill and produces award-winning Irish whiskey using water straight from the river.
