Vale Down lies on Dartmoor's western fringe along the A386, serving as a gateway between Tavistock and Okehampton. The A30 trunk road sits 10km north for longer journeys, whilst local routes connect to Lydford (2km) and surrounding villages. With about 14 fast EV chargers nearby, it's well-positioned for exploring the National Park. The settlement provides direct access to Lydford Gorge, where the White Lady Waterfall drops 30 metres through ancient woodland.
