Urugaig lies on Colonsay in the Inner Hebrides, reached by Caledonian MacBrayne ferry from Oban (advance booking essential) or flights to the nearby airstrip. The island's single road connects all settlements, with Urugaig just 4km from the main village of Scalasaig. One public fast charger serves electric vehicles, though the island's compact 13-mile length makes this adequate. The local post sometimes travels by tractor across the sands to Oronsay at low tide.
