Urgha is a small settlement on Harris, just 3km from Tarbert via the A859. Most visitors arrive by CalMac ferry to Tarbert from Skye or North Uist, then drive the island's main road. The Atlantic location means changeable weather and strong winds year-round. The village retains a working harbour where local fishing boats still moor between trips.
