Upperlands is a small Mid Ulster village positioned between Maghera and Kilrea on elevated ground that provides its name. Reached via the A29 from Belfast in about an hour, or locally from the M2 via Antrim and A26. The village centres around its former linen mill, which operated for over 200 years until the 1960s and remains a prominent local landmark.
