Upper Shader

Upper Shader is a small coastal settlement on Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, reached via the A857 from Stornoway then the B8013 westward. It sits among several neighbouring villages including Lower Shader and the main settlement of Shader, about 20km from the island's ferry port. The area retains traditional crofting character, with many buildings showing influence from the distinctive local blackhouse stone construction style.
