Upper Heaton occupies the West Yorkshire hills between Huddersfield and Dewsbury, reached via the A62 Manchester Road or M62 Junction 25. The A644 provides connections to Dewsbury and the M1 corridor, whilst local B-roads serve daily commuting to surrounding villages. Over 250 public EV charging points are available nearby, including facilities at IKEA Leeds. Former textile mills dot the landscape, many now converted to contemporary use whilst preserving the area's industrial character.
