Union is a small city in east-central Missouri, about 50 miles southwest of St. Louis along I-44. The town sits in Franklin County's rolling hills near the Meramec River, serving as a convenient stop between St. Louis and the Ozarks. Highway 50 and Route 47 intersect I-44 here, connecting Union to Jefferson City and surrounding communities. The historic Franklin County Courthouse with its red brick clock tower dominates the downtown square.
