Ullapool is the main ferry port for the Outer Hebrides, sitting on Loch Broom's shores amid dramatic Highland scenery. Reach it via the A835 from Inverness (90km, 75 minutes) or the A832 from the A9 at Tore. It's a key stop on the North Coast 500 route, with about 4 fast EV chargers for the journey onwards. The distinctive white pier, built in 1788, still serves CalMac ferries to Stornoway twice daily.
