Ulgham

Ulgham is a small Northumberland village positioned between coast and countryside, about 20 miles north of Newcastle. The A1068 provides the main route through the area, with most visitors arriving via the A1 motorway before taking the coastal exit. Local traffic uses this road for daily trips to Ashington, Morpeth, or nearby Druridge Bay. The village maintains its connection to Northumberland's mining heritage through the preserved Pithead Baths at nearby Lynemouth Colliery.
