Uddingston lies southeast of Glasgow along the M74, making it a popular commuter town with excellent motorway access. Junction 5 provides direct entry, whilst the A724 and A721 connect to Bothwell, Hamilton, and East Kilbride. The town sits in the Clyde valley amongst former mining communities, with over 300 EV charging points nearby. Tunnock's famous biscuit factory on Main Street has been producing caramel wafers since 1890.
