Tye occupies the northern tip of Hayling Island, reached via the A3023 across Langstone Bridge from Havant. The settlement overlooks the RSPB reserve at Langstone Harbour, where winter brings spectacular gatherings of wading birds including dunlin, redshank and grey plover that make this one of Hampshire's premier birdwatching spots.
