Tullos forms part of Aberdeen's southern suburbs, just 3km from the city centre via the A956 Wellington Road. The area sits between Aberdeen proper and the coastal industrial zones, with easy access to both the A90 trunk road and local routes serving Torry and Altens. Aberdeen International Airport is about 10km northwest via the A96. The district is notable for housing one of Aberdeen's largest 1960s council estates, built during the city's major post-war expansion.
