Tuckenhay is a tiny Devon hamlet tucked into a bend of the River Dart, reached via narrow lanes from the A385 near Totnes. The single-track approach winds through Bow and requires careful driving with limited passing places. Most visitors come from Totnes (10 minutes) or follow the scenic route from Dartmouth via Cornworthy. The restored 19th-century Tuckenhay Mill still turns its waterwheel beside the rushing millstream.
