Tronston

Scotland
Tronston lies at the heart of Orkney's Mainland, easily reached via the A965 from either Kirkwall (15km east) or Stromness (20km west). The A986 offers an alternative southern approach through Stenness. With roughly a dozen fast EV chargers nearby, it's well-equipped for modern travel. The town's 19th-century mercat cross, carved from distinctive Orkney sandstone, still displays the weathered heraldic arms of the Earl of Orkney.
