Trent is a small Dorset village near the Somerset border, reached via the A3030 and local roads connecting to the A37 corridor. It's surrounded by typical West Country countryside with gentle hills and traditional farmland. The village sits among some of England's best-preserved medieval strip lynchets, ancient terraced field systems still visible on the surrounding hillsides.
