Trenear is a small Cornish settlement reached via country lanes from the A394 near Helston, about 8km southeast. Most traffic comes from the A30 via Redruth or Camborne, then south through winding rural roads. The area has over 60 EV charging points nearby, mainly in Helston. Close to RNAS Culdrose helicopter base, the name derives from Cornish "tre" meaning homestead, reflecting its ancient Celtic roots.
