Tralee serves as County Kerry's main town and the gateway to the Dingle Peninsula, positioned between Tralee Bay and the Slieve Mish Mountains. The N86 leads straight to Dingle and Slea Head Drive, while the N22 connects to Killarney (34 km) and Cork beyond. Kerry Airport sits 20 km south of town. Tralee hosts the famous Rose of Tralee festival each August and boasts Ireland's only indoor tropical dome at the Aqua Dome, where water slides and lazy rivers stay heated to 29 degrees year-round.
