Torpenhow is a small Cumbrian village reached via the A595 and minor roads branching east. Most visitors come from Wigton or connect from the M6 at Junction 41. The village sits in gentle farming country north of the Lake District proper, with about 14 EV charging points in surrounding towns. Its name uniquely contains the word "hill" three times in different ancient languages.
