Tongland is a small village in Dumfries and Galloway, three kilometres from historic Kirkcudbright. Reach it via the A711 coastal road or through Castle Douglas on the A75. The village sits in gentle Dee Valley countryside and serves as a quiet base for exploring Galloway's towns and coast. Its 1930s hydroelectric station features striking art deco architecture beside the River Dee.
