Tipperary

Tipperary town sits in Ireland's Golden Vale, surrounded by the dairy farms that make this region so prosperous. The N24 connects you west to Limerick (40 km) and east to Waterford, while the N74 heads north toward Cashel, just 20 km away where you'll find the famous Rock of Cashel heritage site. The railway runs from Limerick Junction to Waterford if you fancy avoiding the roads. Charles Kickham's statue still stands on Main Street outside the very courthouse where he was tried for sedition, a fitting tribute in the town that inspired the famous wartime marching song.
