Timahoe is a small County Laois village reached via the R426, about 80km from Dublin through the M7 and Portlaoise. The road connects Stradbally with Athy, making it handy for crossing between counties. The village sits amid typical midlands farmland with decent electric charging options nearby. The real draw is the magnificent 12th-century round tower, standing over 30 meters tall with its original conical cap intact, rising from the ruins of Saint Mochua's early Christian monastery.
