Tillingham

Tillingham occupies a remote corner of the Dengie Peninsula in Essex, reached via winding B-roads that cross flat marshland toward the North Sea. The most practical route from London uses the A130 to the B1018, whilst Southend drivers take the B1021 through Burnham-on-Crouch. The 13th-century parish church houses a remarkably preserved medieval doom painting above the chancel arch.
