Thurdistoft lies in Caithness, just off the A99 near Scotland's northern coast. The A9 from Inverness takes about two and a half hours, whilst local routes connect nearby Castletown and Dunnet. Roughly five EV charging points serve the area. The settlement provides easy access to Dunnet Head, mainland Britain's true northernmost point.
