Throphill is a Northumberland village reached via the A696 from Newcastle, about 15 miles northwest through Ponteland. The A1 provides the main long-distance connection, whilst local roads link nearby Hartburn and Mitford. Electric vehicle charging is well-covered with over 60 fast chargers in the area. The village retains its medieval character, particularly evident in St. Bartholomew's church with its original Norman doorway.
